Once in Milan, the cathedral and its roof are simply a must-see if you are even mildly interested in art and architecture. The view from above is worth it. You should book a visit to the cathedral museum straight away. Here you can see countless statues etc. not just somewhere high up on a wall, but up close, so to speak (forbidden! ????) to touch.
